Confidence and peace of mind with the minimum of disruption

We understand that upgrades to your lighting and heating are a major investment both in terms of time and potential upheaval of day to day operations. Majimoto’s installation process follows industry best practice and regulatory standards. We have developed the following working practices to minimise disruption and ensure the process runs as smoothly as possible.

Survey

Survey

Having taken your brief, understood your objectives and seen the proposed works site, we will create a detailed proposal to include:

  • The number of units being replaced.
  • Whether it is like for like or changes (i.e. more or fewer fittings, switching, luminaires, etc).
  • Power use of existing and new units, with an estimate of the saving, and the cost and the payback period vs. current system.
  • Expected performance vs. existing systems.
  • Whether any new controls are desirable/required.
  • Commissioning / operational details.

Where possible, we will seek to involve any staff that might be affected by the upgrades to ensure the solution proposed leads to better working conditions.

Design

Design

In its simplest form, lighting design is the selection and placement of the lighting within a space. Ask any lighting designer what lies behind good lighting design and you’ll get the same response: It’s the right light, in the right place, at the right time.

Arguably the most crucial of these, from an energy management viewpoint, is the timing. It doesn’t matter how efficient your lamp or luminaire is if it is on at 2am in an empty office. ‘At the right time’ means it is switched off when there is no need for it to be on.

Whilst lighting design is often optimised for new buildings, it is equally relevant for existing buildings.

Majimoto provides a complete ‘good lighting’ design solution to make sure you have the right light in the right place at the right time. Please ask us about our tailored design solution service.
